Cameron Martin’s Palimpsests
New York, 2006—2010
Photographs of a painting studio.

For several years in the 2000s my partners at GH and I shared a common area with painter Cameron Martin in a building on McCarren Park in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Cameron and his assistants would use intricate stencils to create his work and used a spare room as their spray area. Every so often I would pop in and take photos of the paint left behind.
It was by no means a formal documentation and I used whatever film I had loaded in the cheap cameras I was using at the time.
