<p><a href="http://peterrentz.com/webarchive/mesa/">Mesa</a> is/was a half attempt at providing web designers with an alternative to system fonts and graphical text. Mesa had the advantage of the editablity of raw text and the graphic touch of inline gifs, although ultimately it was bulky and ugly, both in code and look.</p>
<p class="indent">The page included both the postscript font for mocking up photoshop docs and a widget to serve code. The font was “filled” with a 5×5 pixel giving the designer an option to add textures as well as solid colors. <img class="baser" title="End of Article" src="http://peterrentz.com/work/wp-content/themes/brignolo/images/square.gif" alt="" width="15" height="15" /></p>
